Movie Theatres

Movie theatres are auditoriums where general public can watch their favorite movie on big screen. These theatres are also referred to as movie halls or cinema halls. It is generally a commercial operation in which the theatre enables the viewer to watch movies in an organized auditorium with enhanced excitement. To watch a movie in theatre you may have to pay some amount. Almost all cinema halls have box office (a counter) from where you can get tickets for yourself. These theatres have projectors which are used to show movies using a huge screen generally with white surface.


Traditional theatres were not as competent as modern theatres which can show movies with great competency. It is believed that 3D movies are more enjoyable than conventional movies and almost all modern theatres are competent enough to show movies in 3D form. There are different types of theatres using different technologies to serve and entertain viewers. One of the modern types of cinema hall is Multiplex theaters. Multiplexes are theatres with more than one screen. Canada was the first country to have a multiplex theatre which then was followed by numerous other countries. IMAX is also amongst the types of competent movie theatres which features extra large screen IMAX projector for superior quality.

One of the prominent and rare cinema theatres is the drive-in theatres. This is a cinema structure which actually has no hall; it is an open air cinema with an outdoor movie screens. The first outdoor theatre was officially set up in Pennsauken Township in USA, on 6th June 1933. Which then gradually became famous and the concept was adopted widely which is still in trend. Cinema halls are a very good source for entertaining oneself. Due to the demand of movies almost every country in present time has a movie theatre to serve the citizens.
